Electric vehicles, as I’ve previously explained, are nothing new: they date back to the very roots of the automobile industry. But with few exceptions, EVs were seen by Detroit auto companies and Americans in general as curiosities, not main stream vehicles.
That is not the case in other countries, and in fact, global sales of EVs are growing by leaps and bounds.
